So many home delivery services how does one choose? Not too long ago I tried Green Chef. Fresh, organic ingredients. Healthy, chef-crafted recipes. Right at your doorstep. Gluten-free? Vegetarian? Paleo? They’ve got it. You can choose your delivery day, easily skip a week or cancel. No hassle! Fun recipes such as Coconut Shrimp Tacos and Butternut Squash Chili (delish!). All of the ingredients are packaged and tagged with a color coded sticker matching the corresponding recipe card. How easy is that? No guessing, just reach in your fridge and grab all of the color you need for tonight’s dinner. The items don’t come pre-chopped so it makes me feel less like I’m cheating by using a food delivery service. Yes children, mommy did cook this meal. I just didn’t shop for it. Life is good. We made a butternut squash chili which was surprisingly delicious and filling. Yes, you can eat vegetarian and feel nourished. A little spicy and sweet. I’d definitely make it again. Right now Green Chef has a great offer - Get a free green chef taste kit A one-dinner taste of our three-dinner weekly subscription See https://greenchef.com/signup-v2/welcome I’m a sucker for a good mystery with quirky characters. I love a good read where you just can’t put the book down. Although this book started out slow, eventually I couldn’t put the book down.
Maggie Dove is a Sunday school teacher and blocked writer. She’s lost herself mourning her daughter for the past twenty years. When people close to Maggie start getting poisoned, her world is no longer tranquil and she dives into the mystery to protect a trusted friend. Up next... A Perfect Score - The Art, Soul, and Business of a 21st-Century Winery I love wine, I love learning about wine (and of course drinking wine, wink wink). Here's a little bit on my next read. The Art, Soul, and Business of a 21st-Century Winery by Kathryn Hall, Craig Hall A lively husband and wife team recounts their twenty-year climb from amateur winemakers to recipients of an almost unheard-of perfect score from Robert Parker's Wine Advocate. Kathryn and Craig Hall launched themselves head first into Napa Valley 20 years ago with the purchase of an 1885 winery and never looked back. Since the couple's purchase of their debut winery, their critically acclaimed HALL Wines and WALT Wines have become fixtures of the California wine industry, winning numerous accolades including a coveted 100-point "perfect score." A PERFECT SCORE weaves a vibrant tale of the HALL brand's meteoric rise to success, Napa Valley's tug-of-war between localism and tourism, and the evolving nature of the wine industry as a whole. Readers who love a good glass of wine will find much to savor in the Halls' expert account of the art, soul, and business of a modern winery. I'm so excited for this box, you don't even know. Here's my two minute review: Funny and fast paced, Sam Turner -newly armed with her real estate license, has her hands full with a teenage son, a hot ex-brother-in-law love interest and clients who keep dropping dead. Grab a cool drink and settle into a hammock to dive into this book. Next up from Random House Publishing: Maggie Dove by Susan Breen Susan Breen introduces a charming new series heroine in this poignant and absorbing cozy mystery with a bite. Maggie Dove thinks everyone in her small Westchester County community knows everyone else’s secrets. Then murder comes to town. I LOVE my FABFITFUN subscription boxes. As a working mom I am always putting family and work above my own needs, often running on empty. Last year I decided to stop feeling guilty and treat myself. I gave this subscription a whirl and I've loved every single box. Each box contains over $200+ worth of products and costs regularly 49.99. I'm so excited for the summer box (should arrive right around my birthday too..yay me!) See below for some of the spoilers in the summer box.. and here's a code for $10 off your first box http://xo.fff.me/dXXQi |
